Jende Diamond Plate 6" x 1"

Picked up two 120 grit diamond plates for profiling. Very aggressive stones, excellent quality. The base plate is made of steel so the plate is heavy enough to just let the stone/diamonds do the work. I would highly recommend dressing or prepping the plates to knock off any loose diamonds. Otherwise you may end up gauging the steel blade with the loosened diamonds. Also the edges of the plates for it comes rough out of the box. The plates are so aggressive I found edge trailing to work well to prevent chipping during profiling. Soapy water with a little dish soap like dawn in the water worked well as a lubricant and to keep the removed metal from clogging the plate and scratching the blade.

The 120 works good on my demko ad20.5 in d2 for reprofile work. I think the 80 would be overkill for most pocket knives. I'm glad I got the 120 to start with. I'd imagine myself using the 80 to reprofile things into knives like a rifle bayonet I have for a cetme or carving down a becker bk2 into an respectable cutter (haha).

This is a very coarse stone, a must have for Reprofiling. This stone is pretty heavy too , which helps with cutting. I Recently ordered the 120 grit. To help my Transition from this 80 grit to the Venev F80 grit . Which i think will fill the gap perfectly. Im impressed with the build quality too ! While the stone does it's job is very heavy and also leaves some diamond dust that would scratch your blades even when you are using sharpening fluid so be careful or if you dont care about scratches and just want a fast reprofiling stone this is a good one

This product is a "step up" from those included in the basic set that comes with TSPROF jigs, which are great for getting started but tend to degrade more quickly with hard use. I highly recommend, but be careful with the coarse grits as they cut aggressively and should be reserved for reprofiling.

Hi, I can only give you a limited assessment of these stones because I haven't been able to successfully use them very much. First of all they appear to be well made, so they get high marks for their appearant quality, but there are some other factors to be aware of. For one, they're very heavy. Using these stones has a different feeling than lighter aluminum backed stones, but the main reason why I ran into issues with these stones is because my table is very magnetized, and the massive amount of steel in these stones make them magnetically stick to the blade when attempting to sharpen. So they don't harmonize well with a magnetic blade platform. But if you're okay with the weight of the stones and your table isn't magnetized, they should work fine. The final observation that I'll make is that the stone's manufacturer prints on the packaging "the holy mecca of sharpening" Being a born-again Christian, such thinking is offensive to me. Because such an attitude reflects an antichrist spirit of pride, as well as attributing the holiness of God to the carnality of fallen man. So I would stay away from that company going forward. Great for cutting fast, makes fixing damaged blades less of a chore

Makes quick work of CPM-20CV. Very aggressive and well made. I plan to get the whole set to test them out.

I needed a coarse diamond plate for reprofiling. I first bought the cheap plates from Sy Tools on amazon (~$40 for 11 plates) but wanted a more aggressive plate. The Jende 80 diamond plate fit the bill. It makes what was a boring, drawn-out ordeal into a quick job! This plate is super aggressive and makes the task child's play. I cannot recommend this plate enough for anyone wanting to set the bevel, reprofile a blade or repair damage. It absolutely shames the cheap amazon 80 diamond plate and is well worth the money imho.

Unfortunately this plate was defective so it was returned.

Excellent reprofiling plate. Then I switch to my diamond matrix stones. Very happy with this purchase!

Haven't really gotten to use it much yet but the product appears well made, well packaged, and seems heavy duty. 80 grit is extremely coarse so this will be reserved for when reprofiling very thick cleavers and the like.

Very aggressive stone helps re establish the edge on a severely lost blade \ knife. Seems to be more aggressive than the Venev Ursa stones I have been using in similar grit F80.

Grittomatic sells junk Effective ..but not too aggressive.. well made. I would buy it again

Aggressive I needed a fairly aggressive re-profiling plate and this fit the bill.
