When tightening on the stone, the holder will bind on the rod, making proper use impossible.
Will be asking to return if possible.
The metal version does not do this, suggesting that this 3D printed holder is badly design.

Pure unadulterate junk.
Broke on first use, and I used it exactly as down in the video.
I have purchased some Venev 4 inch Dog diamond stone to use with my WSPA and bought this to use with them.
Firstly, the stones do not sit flat in the holder, being raised at one end.
I tried to loosen the holder, press down the stone flat then reclamp to hand tight, all I achieved was to peel back the clamping material from the end of the stone.
This product is flimsy and poorly designed.
I will have to try the Hapstone clamp, but I have read poor reviews on this too, going by the Hapstone clamp I purchased I don't hold out much hope.
Very very disappointed with this product and Gritomatic customer service.

Maybe I have the 1st gen as the outside dove tail just broke. Don't think I was tightening too much, I'm finishing the job with a rubber band holding the stone on. I'm going to try to get a couple little screws in it to hold it together but they could have left a little more meat on it down there. Would have helped it not break and left something to repair it with. Or if you were really forward thinking, put a few pins/screws in it b4 it breaks. I'm tempted to make one (machinist) but time..

Fit right on the shaft and was very smooth. Holes were lined up perfectly and didn’t have any friction. Held the 4” stones perfectly and might hold my 6” stones but I didn’t try it with those stones. Very pleased, made me pull out my Work Sharp sharpening system and sharpen a few knives. I recommend it through Gritomatic.

I wanted to give this stone holder a chance and a better review. By the looks of it, it appears to be 3D printed. It’s fairly basic. Slide your 4” stone in and tighten it down. My problem is that it doesn’t work very well with the 4” Venev Cerberus Dog series stones. When placed up to the light, there is a very noticeable bow with each and every stone (I purchased 4). I’ve tried to adjust the tension (harder, softer, middle), but nothing seems to work in order to get them level.

Excellent! It is just what I needed to use with the Venev dog stones I am getting (self present)!

Great addition to the Work Sharp Precision
The stone holder works perfectly with 2"x4" EZ Lap stones. A must have if you want the use wider stones with the Work Sharp Precision.

The tighter you turn the knob the stiffer it gets on the rod...there's just no way around it unless you use a metal screw instead of a plastic one. I have used other 3d print stone holder and it does the same thing.
What happened is when you tighten the knob, you are forcing 2 plastic to squeeze, when that happens it's binding the weaker plastic (thread knob screw) making it expand and causing the inside to be uneven making it harder to slide.

Works just like intended.

Unworkable as delivered
Very attractive, excellent print quality... and would not slide on the sharpener rod AT ALL.
Please, chuck up a stone and run a reamer through the damn thing before shipping.

I should’ve bought the aluminum version

Stone holder
For the most I am very happy with it but I would like it not to do tight on the rod I would like it better if it was a bit looser on the rod so that it would slide easier

Holds the Venev Cyberus Dog dual stones well. You do get some limitations on sharpening angles but that's just due to the necessary thickness.
Only issue I have with it on first use is that mine had plastic flashing inside the rod hole which made it stiff and hard to use at first. Had to get a long drill bit to carefully clean it out.
I understand this is the nature of the beast with 3d printing, but some QC in making sure the guide rod hole is clear of obstructions would be an improvement, as you need a fairly long deburring/drill bit of the correct size to clear it without damaging it/making it too loose on the guide rod.
Other than that, it works great!

very substantial, solid upgrade to the WSPA.

Better than the aluminium version
This holder holds the Venev 4" stones way better than the first aluminium iteration.
The Precision Adjust rod do not wiggle as much in the holder, wich is better. It's not as smooth when doing passes, but I bet it'll improve over time.

Works great
Holds all my 4" stones and a custom strop that I made. My 3d printer is in storage from moving so I ordered this already finished stone holder and it is great.

Finally I got the one!
All I can say is that it works. I've been working with the worksharp precision for some time now. I've always had issues with the default stones they come with. I came across this product that fits like a dream. Adjustable with no more rocking side to side. This holder will fit 4 to 6 inch stones with ease. I'm happy with my purchase.

Works as advertised. Early days but seems durable. Note that the length of the holder means that the lower part of the stone will not reach the edge of a standard edc blade.

The knob broke off while retracting it for the first time (looks like it's superglued together), so I did not even get the chance to try out the KME silicon carbide stones I ordered with it. I ordered the "LE Series 4" Stone Holder for Work Sharp Precision Adjust - Black Grey".
Long delivery time, high shipping costs to Europe, confusing messages regarding delivery at my home, and Gritomatic's customer service only response was "can't control the parcel after it left the USA", so at the moment it feels like a waste of time and money.

Got the 4 inch holder in association with the dog series 4 inch stones total game changer for your work sharp Holder does an excellent job holding the stones make sure you’re even and flat and it is plastic so I don’t tighten it to extreme angle gauge is a must for this set up

Works even with less than perfect guide rod.

Bought this product and the second time I went to put a stone in the product broke right where the rod and spring connect to the block. Very disappointed in product !

Mine holds stones flat and securely. At first it felt rough while traveling through the rod. After a few sessions it smoothed out. Now it's smooth and lost the initial "scratchy" sound. It has more friction than the worksharp unit it replaces. Also it can't be used with the rear stopper or you won't be able to use the last 1/2 to 3/4 inch of the stone due to the short length of the rods. Overall the unit works well within the limitations of the precision adjust. Would buy again.

Good quality and lightweight, holds stones securely
